This is my fourth painting from the Rockcliffe Mansion series. The blinds were the most difficult to paint with numerous layers.

Working with shadows of varying degrees is always a challenge. I'm very happy with the end result on this piece.

This painting was a challenge due to the shadows. It's always difficult to stop before going to dark but I'm happy with the finished piece.

I've painted this church window in the Lutheran Church in Arrow Rock, Missouri before. 

Each time I paint these windows the shadows and light make the artwork completely different. 

 

House in Autumn

Pump House (June Morning)

This is my third time of painting this old pump house located in Meramac Springs State Park. This painting is a bit more dream-like than my previous pieces.

This painting is based on some reference photos taken from our trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last summer. I thought the view of the rainy street and foliage complimented the interior of the table and dishware.

I have a soft spot for old theatres. Most of the ones I remember from my childhood are no longer in existence. This one depicted in my latest painting is located in Quincy, Illinois.
