I have a soft spot for old theatres. Most of the ones I remember from my childhood are no longer in existence. This one depicted in my latest painting is located in Quincy, Illinois.

This painting depicts the marquee at an art deco theatre in New Haven Missouri.
The theatre originally opened in 1940.  It was totally refurbished in the 1990s.  The theatre remains open with movie showings on weekends.
