Boating is Fun
Click to Bid, 16 by 20 inches, Acrylic on wood panel
My grandson and I were a flea market several years ago when I purchased this vintage Little People
boat. I told him we would try to float it on the pond at our estate. Unfortunately, that never happened. Now he is probably too old to enjoy playing with toys of this type. I decided to use the boat in my latest "Little People" painting.

Beach Boardwalk
This painting is based on some recent photo references from a family vacation at Dauphin Island, Alabama. I know this is a very common beach scene that artists like to paint. I thought the addition of the fishing boat adds a new twist to the scene.

Ready and Waiting
I used the poster board stencil shown in the previous post to paint some of the water ripples. Some were painted using a small conventional brush.

Reflective Wait
I struggled with the reflective branches in this painting. However I'm happy with the end result.

Late Morning Reflections
In my opinion this is probably the most peaceful of all my boat paintings.

Afternoon Reflections
I find the water always difficult to paint. However, I think in this painting it works well.
