Late In The Evening
(Sold) 8 by 10 inches, Acrylic on acid free illustration board
Just returned from a vacation to Washington DC, Virginia and Pennsylvania. I have numerous reference photos for possible paintings. This is my first painting from those photos. I managed to add a bit of warm yellow in the mostly cool colored sky.

Carnival Ride (Late Evening)
Sold 8 by 12 inches, Acrylic on acid free illustration board
With the recent intense cold weather I've been trying to think summer thoughts. I decided to paint a warm weather scene of a zipper carnival ride in late evening. I found it very enjoyable to paint light on dark as I added the details in the silhouetted areas of the ride. This is the reversal of my usual painting process.
