I was prompted to paint this piece mainly because of the lights positioned in front of the silhouetted trees.

Uncle Joe's Barn at Sunset
Click to Bid, 16 by 20 inches, Acrylic on acid free illustration board
This is a painting from a few years ago. It depicts my Uncle Joe's barn with a summer sunset. I grew up near this barn and it always seemed like a giant behemoth alone in the Missouri River Bottom. Uncle Joe's house and other out buildings which stood near by had been razed after the great flood of 1993.

After Storm Jupiter
Click to Bid, 8 by 10 inches, Acrylic on acid free illustration board,
Winter Storm Jupiter pushed through the central USA during mid January. Predictions called for an inch of freezing rain locally. Fortunately we received only a fraction of that amount. This painting depicts the sunset as the storm ended.

December Sunset

I like this sunset because of the warm colors in the upper sky. The painting consists mostly of cool colors but the warmth of the clouds brings interest to the picture.
