December Fun

Another in the trompe-loeil series.  I photographed this still-life with morning sunshine which produced the sharp edged shadows.

Christmas (Somewhere In Time)

To purchase please contact me.       16 by 18 inches,          Acrylic on illustration board.
This Christmas trompe-loeil painting is somewhat autobiographical.  The comic book and toy car were things  I would've had growing up in the late 1950's.  I think the addition of the ornaments and "girl in the snow" picture make for a nice composition.

Christmas Things

Sold   8 by 10 inches,      Acrylic on acid free illustration board.
I was attracted to do a painting of three dimensional objects on a flat paper because of a prior painting.  Visit DailyPaintWorks.com and view my painting "I Must Be Losing My Marbles." The ornaments and crayons in this painting appear very realistic due to their placement on the flat paper with the Santa picture. The shadows are a major part of this piece adding depth to the image. The Santa was drawn with acrylic marker.
