Portrait of the Artist (As a Commuter)

I did this piece to combine my self-portrait with a touch of humor.  Over the years I spent at least an hour each day traveling to and from the school where I taught.  I think this painting typifies my life at that time.

Plan Nine from the Toy Chest

The "toys in shadows" series continues.  I was very careful to add as much detail as possible to this piece.
The title is derived from the Ed Wood directed movie "Plan Nine from Outer Space."  The selection of toys in the dark shadows reflecting in the mirror reminded me of the movie.
