Bud & Lou & Marble #2
While in high school during the early 70s a wave of nostalgia flowed through popular culture. Elvis and Chuck Berry had top ten hits. The rock band Queen had entitled two of their albums after Marx Brothers movies "A Day at the Races" and "A Night at the Opera." Abbott and Costello movies were popular late night fare on television. This painting is based on one of Bud and Lou's many comics.

Candy and Rawhide
This is one of my larger comic book inspired paintings. The comic depicted is almost a half century old. It's from my private collection which I've owned since childhood. This is one of my first trompe L'oeils with the objects in an angled positioned.
