Another painting in the trompe-loeil series. The worn "I Love Lucy" comic provides a three dimensional aspect due to the torn edge and the curved spine.
These are my old comics from my childhood. As I've mentioned before in my blog the comics provided me with a wonderful fantasy outlet during my youth. Today as I paint these nostalgic pieces from a half century ago I feel a sense of reconciling my past with the present.
