Truetone was a brand of electronics sold by Western Auto. Growing up my parents owned and operated a small hardware store in our hometown selling some Western Auto products. This is my latest painting in the "Reto Series."

Growing up in the 1960s the transistor radio was a godsend for a teenager who enjoyed music. The radios usually came with an ear plug so you had the option of listening to the AM radio in private.
