Whatever Floats Your Duck

Sold                  8 by 10 inches,         Acrylic on acid free illustration board
"Whatever Floats Your Boat"  was a phrase used extensively as I was growing up.  This is the source of the title of this painting.  The duck is actually in a martini glass. I think the toy duck's expression from this view point is humorous.

Marbles # 19

Click to buy,               8 by 10 inches,                   Acrylic on acid free illustration board                           Another painting in the "Marble Series."  I used the green glass and several red marbles to compliment the glass color.

Marbles # 16

Sold     8 by 10 inches,     Acrylic on acid free illustration board
Another in my series of paintings depicting marbles.  This time the marbles are in a coke glass.  I was happy with the results in that the glass works well.  I recently purchased some large marbles that I used in this piece.

Three for the Roll

Sold    8 by 10 inches   Acrylic on Board
Another painting in the marble series.  This is the first one I've painted on panel.  I like the smooth surface but the paint tends to build up causing a slight glare when photographing.
When composing the still life onto drawing paper I was concerned with keeping the spaces between marbles and the outside edge of the paper different lengths.  This tends to keep the composition more interesting.
