Growing up as a child I attended a Catholic school. The teachers at the school were nuns. I grew up with three brothers and no sisters. My mother and grandmother to the best of my memory rarely wore makeup. I started attending the local public high school as a freshman. The year was 1968. I was dumbfounded to see all the variations of eye mascara and makeup worn by students and the female faculty. As a young man interested in art this always fascinated me. My interest is evident once again in this newest painting of mine.
