January Blue Jay

With the recent heavy snow and extreme cold due to the polar vortex the wild birds have been eating from the bird feeder set up behind our home.  The blue jays have been taking command of the feeder over the smaller birds.  This blue jay was photographed in front of a cedar tree. The photos were used as reference in the painting.
