This painting is a salute to the Science Fiction I grew up with during the 1950's and 1960's. The development of the nuclear bomb had shocked many into opening their minds to all sorts of possibilities.
The first modern day UFO sightings occurred in the late 1940's. Pop culture movies and TV were abundant with stories of aliens and monsters.
