Lost Relic

(Sold)  8 by 10 inches,  Acrylic on acid free illustration board
My wife and I recently returned from a 3000 mile adventure through the American Southwest.
While taking a break from the Oklahoma turnpike we had lunch at a large modern truck stop.  There in the parking lot stood this Bob's Big Boy.  It was probably about eight feet tall.  I could only guess that it was the last vestige of the former restaurant.

Bob's Big Boy with Checkered Pattern

Sold  8 by 10 inches,    Acrylic on acid free illustration board
As I've mentioned before a friend gave me this Boy's Big Boy coin bank as a Christmas gift a few years ago. I've painted it several times.  This time I've placed a checkered pattern in the background.  I certainly enjoy painting the colorful shiny surface.

Bob's Guy

Click to Bid             8 by 10 inches,             Acrylic on acid free illustration board
The "Bob's Big Boy" series continues.  My friend gave me this coin bank a few years ago as a Christmas gift.  It fits well in our retro themed rec room.  I enjoy painting this toy bank because of the bright colors and the reflective nature of the plastic.

This is the second painting I've done of this toy figure.  I find the plastic reflections unique.
