Here in the mid west we have a winter weather system known as an Alberta Clipper. It's a quick moving snow storm with gusty winds that can drop temperatures quickly. It originates in the Alberta Province of Canada. I tried to capture the appearance of an Alberta Clipper in this painting of the cardinal.
