I was recently in the woods near our home taking photos of the cardinals. They were there taking advantage of the bird feeder I had set up. I noticed the softness and almost wet nature of the snow that day. I tried to duplicate that snowfall in this painting. Instead of using a toothbrush to spatter the white paint I used the airbrush to spray each individual flake.
