My photo references were done by placing the three vintage metal toys on a mirror on a sunny day. The blue is the reflection of the sky.

Wanna Race?
I purchased this tin rabbit at a flea market several years ago. After looking at it closely I realized it was hand painted. That in itself makes it more interesting to paint. This is the second artwork I've painted with these two figures.

Keep Your Eye on the Ball
I've added a bit of humor in my latest still life. The toy turtle and marble were placed on a large mirror with the morning light shining on the objects. A still life reflecting on a mirrored surface is nothing new in fine art painting. One of my favorite photo realists Don Eddy painted numerous artworks on mirrored surfaces.
