Phaedra's Iris

Sold               8 by 10 inches,            Acrylic on acid free illustration board
One of the first flowers that I painted years ago was the iris.  It continues to be a favorite of mine. I think it's the transparent quality of the flower that makes it such an interesting flower to paint with airbrush.

To all my blog followers I want to let you know that my production of new paintings might be decreasing over the next few weeks.  The reason being that next week I'm planning to paint a mural at a local school.   Also I have several outdoor art fairs starting next month and I am involved in matting and framing artwork for those shows.  I'm hoping to continue painting one small original per week.
