Self Portrait Filtered Light

Acrylic on Panel      16 by 20 inches        This is probably the fourth self portrait I've painted over the years.  My reasoning for painting a self portrait is that I simply like to paint portraits and it's somewhat easier to paint oneself.  I know this portrait isn't very flattering but I was trying to achieve a Chuck Close 1970's feel to the piece with the eyes staring directly out at the viewer.
